Privacy policy
Last updated: 5 October 2026
This policy explains what information aitsa.tech collects, why, who it is shared with and what rights you have. We follow South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
1. Who we are
AITSA is run by Pieter Bothma in South Africa and is the responsible party for the information collected through this website.
Questions or requests: piet@aitsa.tech.
2. What we collect
- Enquiry form: your name, email address, WhatsApp number (so we can contact you on WhatsApp), what your business does, what you need help with, your budget, timeline and where you heard about us.
- Bookings: the time you choose and the Google Meet link for the call.
- Alles AI met Piet (free weekly session): your name, email address and, if you give them, what your business does and your question for the session.
- Newsletter: your email address if you subscribe.
- Technical information via cookies: your IP address, browser, device, the pages you visit and, if you clicked an ad, an ad-click ID.
3. How we use it
- To read and answer your enquiry, book a call and send you reminders for it.
- To confirm your sign-up for the weekly session, remind you about it, and answer your question in the session.
- To send the newsletter and weekly session reminders, only if you opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To measure which ads bring people to us and whether they enquired or booked.
- To understand how people find and use the website (Google Analytics), so we can improve it.
- To show AITSA ads on Facebook, Instagram and Google to people who have visited our website or engaged with our content (retargeting).
We do not sell your information.
4. Cookies and ad tracking
We use the Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API (Facebook and Instagram), the Google Ads tag and Google Analytics. These set cookies such as _fbp, _fbc, _gcl_au, _gcl_aw and _ga, and send information such as pages visited, whether you started filling in the enquiry form, and completed enquiries to Meta and Google. When you send an enquiry or booking, your email address and name are sent to Meta in hashed (unreadable) form so the ad can be measured.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser, and manage ad preferences with Meta (Settings → Ad preferences) and Google (myadcenter.google.com).
5. Who we share it with
Only with service providers that make the website work, and only for the purposes above:
- Supabase: database where enquiries and bookings are stored.
- Vercel: website hosting.
- Resend: sending emails (booking links, reminders, newsletter).
- Google: Calendar and Meet for bookings, Google Ads and Google Analytics.
- Meta: ads on Facebook and Instagram.
- Telegram: notifications to us when a new enquiry comes in.
6. Information outside South Africa
Some of these providers store information on servers outside South Africa. We only use providers with recognised security and privacy protections.
7. How long we keep it
- Enquiries and bookings: up to 24 months, then deleted, unless you become a client.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
- Cookies: for the period Meta and Google set, usually up to 90 days.
8. Your rights
- To ask what information we hold about you.
- To have it corrected or deleted.
- To object to direct marketing, or unsubscribe at any time.
- To lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za).
Email piet@aitsa.tech and we will respond within 30 days.
9. Changes
If we change what we collect, we update this page and the date at the top.
